Some of these paintings are religious symbols, such as
bread and wine. The fish (Greek: ΙΧΘΥΣ, Ixthys) is
one of the oldest Christian symbols. The boat is a metaphor for life as a
journey. The heart is an expression for our strongest emotions. But the heart
can also approach the shape of an apple, the symbol of both healthiness,
knowledge and temptation.
